2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

- With the help of an assistant, position the hood.
- Align the hood hinges to the alignment marks on the hood.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the bolts which secure the hood hinge to the hood.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Install the hood insulator, if equipped. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement .
- Install the hood latch striker. Refer to Hood Latch Striker Replacement .
- Adjust the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
- Remove the protective covering from the fenders.
- Remove the support and close the hood.
