2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

NOTE: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.
  1. Install the backup light switch, using pipe sealant GM P/N 1052080 or equivalent.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the switch to 33 N.m (24 lb. ft).

  2. Connect the backup lamp connector.
