2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install a new exhaust manifold gasket.
  2. Install the exhaust manifold.
  3. Install the exhaust manifold nuts.
  4. Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts to 13 N.m (115 in lbs).
  5. Install oil level indicator tube and indicator.
  6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield and bolts.
  7. Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 14 N.m (124 in lbs).

  9. Install cruise control module.
  10. Raise and support the vehicle.
  11. Install the flex decoupler to exhaust manifold bolts. Tighten the flex decoupler to exhaust manifold bolts to 35 N.m (26 ft lbs).
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Connect the Oxygen sensor (O2S) connector.
