2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Zone 9

  1. Turn steering wheel to place vehicle wheels in straight-ahead position. Turn ignition off and remove key.
  2. Remove access panel from end of driver-side instrument panel. Remove AIR BAG fuse (15-amp) from instrument panel fuse block.
  3. To disable passenger side impact air bag module, go to step Β 7. To disable entire SIR system, complete remaining steps.
  4. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from driver-side air bag module connector and disconnect connector. See Figure.
  5. Remove CPA clip from passenger-side air bag module and disconnect connector. See Figure.
  6. Remove CPA clip from driver side impact air bag module and disconnect connector. See Figure.
  7. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from passenger side impact air bag module and disconnect connector. See Figure.
