2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Ignition System

  1. Test Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor "A" and "B" for proper operation.
  2. Inspect the Ignition Control (IC) circuits at each ignition module assembly for poor connections, damage or misrouting.
  3. Inspect the ignition coils for damage.
  4. Inspect the spark plug boots for misalignment and damage.
  5. Inspect for a damaged or missing ground spring at each ignition module assembly.
  6. Inspect the spark plugs.
