- Turn ignition on. Press RESET button on Driver Information Center (DIC) to acknowledge any warning messages present. See Figure . Depress and hold OPTIONS button. While holding OPTIONS button, press FUEL button 4 times within 10 seconds. System will enter into automatic display mode, followed by manual display mode.
- During automatic display mode, all modules communicating on serial data line will be displayed. After each module is displayed, DIC will display the number of current and history Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) for that system.
- NO CODES displayed indicates there are no DTCs present for that system. NO COMM displayed indicates a communication problem between systems. After all DTCs have been displayed for all systems, DIC will display NO MORE CODES for 2 seconds, and then enter into manual display mode.
- Manual display mode of DTCs can be entered at any time after entering on-board diagnostics by depressing any button on DIC, except E/M button. See Figure . Depressing E/M button will exit on-board diagnostics.
- During manual display mode, systems may be selected for viewing by depressing specific buttons on DIC. Depress TRIP button to view previous module. Depress OPTIONS button to view next module. Depress FUEL button to view previous DTC in selected module. Depress GAUGES button to view next DTC in selected module.
- After retrieving and recording current and history DTCs for Seat Control Module (SCM), perform appropriate diagnostic test for DTC set. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE INDEXΒ table.
