Code Enable Criteria
For DTC to run, the following conditions must be met:
- DTCs P0105, P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0117, P0118, P0122, P0123, P0171, P0506, P0507, P0601 are not set.
- Engine is operating on alternative fuel.
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is more than 167Β°F (75Β°C).
- Engine speed is 1600-2200 RPM.
- Engine is operating in closed loop.
- Engine has been operating for at least 120 seconds with engine speed of more than 450 RPM.
- Throttle Position (TP) angle is 9-23 percent.
- TP angle changes less than 3 percent per second.
- Evaporative emissions control system is commanded open for more than 80 percent.
- Purge learned memory is more than approximately 0.86.
- Diagnostic completes when 30 seconds of accumulated time has been spent in the above conditions.
DTC will set when average O2S 1 response times are more than 1174 milliseconds (mS) for rich to lean sweeps, or 1008 mS for lean to rich sweeps. DTC will also set when cycle time is more than 1491 mS.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- β’ You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- β’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- β’ You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
