Electronic Brake Control Module & Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Assembly: Removal
2001 Chevrolet Cavalier LS, 2.4 TSECTION Removal
- BPMV and EBCM assembly is located under brake master cylinder. EBCM and BPMV are individual units that are connected together. Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Disconnect EBCM harness connector ensuring connector tab is released by pushing down lock tab and slide connector cover. Disconnect BPMV pump motor ground cable. Label brakelines for installation reference and remove brakelines from BPMV.
- Remove EBCM and BPMV assembly from vehicle. To remove BPMV from EBCM, remove BPMV-to-EBCM mounting screws. Separate EBCM from BPMV by gently pulling apart. DO NOT pry apart using a tool. Replace seal, if damaged.
