Removal Procedure

2001 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado 2D Pickup, 8.1 G, 4WD, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the dash trim bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Fig 1: OnStar Button Assembly

  3. Grasp the OnStar® button assembly (1) and pull outwards to remove the button assembly.
  4. Fig 2: Electrical Connectors

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the switches.
  6. Remove the switches and the button assembly (2).
