2001 Chevrolet C3500 HD 8.1 G, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the CMP sensor.
  2. Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

    Install the CMP sensor retaining bolt.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the CMP sensor retaining bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  4. Install the cooling fan pulley (2). Refer to Fan Pulley Replacement in Cooling System.
  5. Connect the CMP sensor connector (1).
  6. Install the cooling fan and shroud. Refer to Fan Replacement in Cooling System.
