- Clean the mating surfaces on the air intake pipe (1) and the turbocharger (3).
- Install the air intake pipe on the turbocharger.
- Refer to FASTENER NOTICE
in Cautions and Notices.
Install the 3 air intake pipe mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the air intake pipe bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
- Install PCV valve hose.
- Install glow plug relay assembly. Refer to Glow Plug Relay Replacement (California) , Glow Plug Relay Replacement (Federal) .
- Install the upper intake manifold sight shield.
Tighten
Tighten the upper intake manifold sight shield bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
