Before diagnosing symptoms or intermittent faults, perform steps in appropriate BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES or SELF-DIAGNOSTICS articles. Use this article to diagnose driveability problems if a current DTC is not present.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
