Right-Side Power Mirror Inoperative In Up/Down Positions
2000 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger, 7.4 JSECTION Right-Side Power Mirror Inoperative In Up/Down Positions
- Disconnect power mirror switch harness connector. Connect ohmmeter between power mirror switch terminals "B" (Brown/White wire) and "E" (Orange wire). See Figure . With right-side mirror selected, move power mirror switch to up position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace power mirror switch.
- Connect ohmmeter between power mirror switch terminals "D" (Black wire) and "H" (Light Blue/White wire). See Figure . Move power mirror switch to up position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace power mirror switch.
- Connect ohmmeter between power mirror switch terminals "B" (Brown/White wire) and "D" (Black wire). See Figure . Move power mirror switch to down position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace power mirror switch.
- Connect ohmmeter between power mirror switch terminals "E" (Orange wire) and "H" (Light Blue/White wire). See Figure . Move power mirror switch to down position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace power mirror switch.
- Disconnect right-side power mirror harness connector. Connect ohmmeter between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "B" and right-side power mirror harness connector terminal "D" (Brown/White wire). See Figure and Figure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Brown/White wire between power mirror switch connector terminal "B" and right-side power mirror connector terminal "D". See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ .
- Connect ohmmeter between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "H" (Light Blue/White wire) and right-side power mirror harness connector terminal "E" (Light Blue/White wire). See Figure and Figure . If continuity exists, replace right-side power mirror. See POWER MIRROR ASSEMBLYΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Light Blue/White wire between power mirror switch connector terminal "H" and right-side power mirror connector terminal "E". See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ .
