Test A: Power Door Locks Inoperative
2000 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Cargo, 4.3 WSECTION Test A: Power Door Locks Inoperative
- Check PWR ACCY fuse "A" in instrument panel fuse block. If fuse is open, go to step Β 6 . If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect power door lock relay connector. Connect test light between power door relay connector terminal "C" (Orange wire) and ground. See Fig 1 . If test light is on, go to next step. If test light is off, go to step Β 7 .
- Using DVOM, check continuity between power door lock relay connector terminal "D" (Black wire) and ground. See Fig 1 . If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, go to step Β 8 .
- Disconnect left front door lock actuator motor connector. Using DVOM, check continuity between door lock actuator connector terminal "A" (Tan wire) and power door lock relay connector terminal "B" (Tan wire). See Fig 1 . If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, go to step Β 9 .
- Using DVOM, check continuity between door lock actuator connector terminal "B" (Gray wire) and power door lock relay connector terminal "E" (Gray wire). See Fig 1 . If continuity is present, go to step Β 10 . If continuity is not present, go to step Β 11 .
- Repair short to ground in Orange wire between instrument panel fuse block and power door lock relay on door lock switches. After repairs, go to step Β 12 .
- Repair open in Orange wire between instrument panel fuse block and power door lock relay. After repairs, go to step Β 12 .
- Repair open in Black wire between power door lock relay and ground. After repairs, go to step Β 12 .
- Repair open in Tan wire between power door lock relay and splice S243. After repairs, go to step Β 12 .
- Replace power door lock relay. After repairs, go to step Β 12 .
- Repair open in Gary wire between power door lock relay and splice S244. After repairs, go to next step.
- Operate system to verify repair.
