Test B: Power Seat Does Not Move Forward Or Rearward

- If power seat system check has been performed, go to next step. If power seat system check has not been performed, go to POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Disconnect suspect power seat switch harness connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between battery positive and power seat switch harness connector terminal "D" (Light Green wire). Connect another fused jumper wire between ground and power seat switch harness connector terminal "C" (Black wire). Seat should move rearward. Move jumper wire from terminal "D" to terminal "E" (Tan wire). Seat should move forward. If seat moves as specified, go to next step. If seat does not move as specified, go to step 4 .
- Replace suspect power seat switch. See POWER SEAT ADJUSTER SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to step 8 .
- Check continuity between suspect power seat switch harness connector terminals "D" (Light Green wire) and "E" (Tan wire). If continuity exists, go to step 7 . If continuity does not exist, go to next step.
- Disconnect suspect power seat motor harness connector. Check continuity between power seat motor connector (motor side) terminals "C" (Black wire) and "D" (Red wire). If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 7 .
- Repair open in Light Green or Tan wire between power seat switch and power seat motor. Go to step 8 .
- Replace power seat motor. See ADJUSTER MOTORS & DRIVE CABLES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
- Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If symptom still exists, go to step 2 . If symptom does not exist, system is okay.
