- Ensure transmitters were properly programmed. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING under PROGRAMMING. Using DVOM, check continuity between Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal No. 4 (Black wire) and ground. If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, go to step 3 .
- Repair open in Black wire between DLC and ground G201. Go to step 11 .
- Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Using DVOM, check voltage between DLC terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) and ground. If voltage is 1 volt or over, go to next step. If voltage is not over 1 volt, go to step 5 .
- Repair short to voltage in Black/White wire between DLC and RCDLR. Go to step 11 .
- Using DVOM, check continuity between DLC terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 7 .
- Repair short to ground in Black/White wire between DLC and RCDLR. Go to step 11 .
- Using DVOM, check continuity between DLC terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) and RCDLR connector terminal "L" (Black/White wire). See Figure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step 10 .
- Inspect RCDLR for following conditions:
- Improper installation.
- Improper connections.
- Improper power supply.
- Improper ground.
- Replace RCDLR. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram replacement RCDLR to transmitter(s). See PROGRAMMING . Go to step 11 .
- Repair open in Black/White wire between DLC and RCDLR. Go to next step.
- Operate system to verify repair.
