2000 Chevrolet Chevy Express G2500, Van Passenger, 6.5 FSECTION Removal & Installation (1.6L & 2.0L)
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Relieve cooling system pressure and drain engine coolant so level is below throttle body. Remove intake air inlet duct and breather hose from throttle body. Disconnect IAC valve and TP sensor harness connectors from throttle body.
  2. Disconnect upper and lower coolant lines from throttle body. Disconnect accelerator cable and A/T throttle cable from throttle lever and cable bracket. Remove throttle body retaining bolts and nuts. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. Remove flange gasket and discard.
  3. Clean gasket surface on intake manifold and throttle body. Install NEW flange gasket. Install throttle body assembly. Install throttle body bolts and nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. After installing accelerator cable, ensure cable has correct free play.
