Body Control Module (BCM): Removal

2000 Chevrolet Cavalier Base, 4D Sedan, 2.4 TSECTION Removal

Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disengage upper latches of floor board panel. Open floor board panel, and lift up to remove floor board panel from bracket. To release BCM from bracket, pull up on BCM lower mounting tab. Lift BCM out of slots in bracket to release upper mounting tabs. See Figure. Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove BCM.
