The receiver sends a signal to Door Control Module (DCM) on the serial data line to unlock the driver door. The DCM then unlocks driver door. The Body Control Module (BCM) disarms Universal Theft Deterrent (UTD) system. BCM will also turn on courtesy lights if ambient light is low.
