Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Audible Warnings (Chime)
Body Control Module (BCM) sends chime signal to radio. Radio receives signal and emits chime through speakers. The BCM determines the priority of the chime requests. The highest priority chime request is activated. Only one chime may be on at a given time. For simultaneous chime conditions, the BCM completes all of the pending low priority chimes after completing the higher priority chimes. The functions which cause the chime to be activated are listed from lowest to highest priority.
