Transmitter Programming
Tech 2 scan tool must be used to program RKE transmitters. Up to 4 transmitters can programmed to BCM at one time. All transmitters to be used must be programmed in same programming session. Leave a window down during reprogramming procedure. This will prevent unintentional lockout if reprogramming procedure is not performed properly.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect Tech 2 scan tool. Following on-screen procedure, enter BCM programming mode. BCM is ready to be programmed when, within 2 seconds:
- Door locks will lock.
- Door locks will unlock.
- Rear compartment lid release will cycle.
- Horn chirp will sound.
- Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously until the following conditions occur in approximately 12 seconds:
- Door locks will lock.
- Door locks will unlock.
- Rear compartment lid release releases
- Horn chirp will sound.
- Repeat previous step for each RKE transmitter.
- Verify proper operation of each transmitter.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
