If automatic transmission fluid temperature becomes extremely high, message center displays TRANS HOT..IDLE ENGINE. Set parking brake and place transmission in Park. Allow engine to idle for 10-15 minutes or until fluid temperature returns to normal, then TRANS HOT..IDLE ENGINE message is turned off.
