Installation Procedure

1999 Chevrolet Pickup K1500, 5.7 RSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical connectors to the ignition switch.
  2. Connect the shift interlock cable to the ignition switch.
  3. Route the ignition switch through the radio opening and position to the retainer.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

  5. Install the fasteners in order to secure the ignition switch to the IP retainer.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 in lbs).

  6. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ  .
