Removal Procedure

1999 Chevrolet Pickup C2500, 2D Pickup, 6.5 F, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery And RechargingΒ  .
  2. Remove the upper diagonal brace from the front fender. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FENDER UPPER DIAGONAL .
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  4. Remove the radiator. Refer to RADIATOR REPLACEMENT .
  5. Loosen the condenser tube nut from the condenser.

  7. Disconnect the condenser tube from the condenser.
  8. Remove the A/C compressor hose block fitting nut from the condenser.
  9. Disconnect the A/C compressor hose from the condenser.

  10. Tilt the top of the condenser to the rear of the vehicle and lift up to remove the condenser.
  11. Ensure the lower rubber mounts stay in place in the vehicle.
  12. Remove the upper rubber mounts from the condenser.
