Shift speed charts reference percentage of throttle angle instead of minimum or wide open throttle position. This measurement is more accurate. A scan tool should be used to monitor throttle angle. Before road testing vehicle, engine and transmission must be at normal operating temperature. Torque converter clutch will not engage if engine coolant has not reached normal operating temperature.
