REMOVAL PROCEDURE
NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
1. Drain the engine coolant system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System Engine Cooling.
2. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the ECT sensor from the thermostat housing.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the ECT sensor to the thermostat housing.
NOTE: Refer to Component Tightening Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Tighten
Tighten the ECT sensor to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
2. Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector.
3. Fill the engine coolant system to the proper level. Refer Draining and Filling Cooling System to Engine Cooling.
