Test U: Door Locks Do Not Operate Using Remote Control Door Lock Transmitter
1999 Chevrolet Cutaway 7.4 JSECTION Test U: Door Locks Do Not Operate Using Remote Control Door Lock Transmitter
- Disconnect remote control door lock receiver connector. Connect test light between ground and receiver connector, terminal "E" (Orange wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open circuit in Orange wire between remote control door lock receiver and splice S228.
- Connect test light between ground and remote control door lock receiver connector, terminal "F" (Orange wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open circuit in Orange wire between remote control door lock receiver and splice S228.
- Disconnect remote control door lock receiver connector. Connect self-powered test light between ground and receiver connector terminal "N" (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open circuit in Black wire between remote control door lock receiver and splice S206.
- Reprogram a known-good transmitter. See TRANSMITTER under PROGRAMMING. Attempt to operate keyless entry system. If new transmitter operates, replace old transmitter. If new transmitter does not operate, replace remote control door lock receiver. Reprogram replacement remote control door lock receiver to transmitter(s). See RESYNCHRONIZATION under PROGRAMMING.
