Both Power Mirrors Inoperative

1999 Chevrolet Chevy Express G1500, Van Cargo, 5.7 RSECTION Both Power Mirrors Inoperative
  1. Check CTSY fuse (20-amp) in instrument panel fuse block, in left lower kick panel. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, check Orange wire between CTSY fuse terminal and power mirror switch connector terminal "E" for a short. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  . Repair as necessary and retest system.
  2. Disconnect power mirror switch harness connector. Connect test light between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "E" (Orange wire) and ground. See Fig 1 . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Orange wire between power mirror switch and instrument panel fuse block. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
  3. Connect test light between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "D" (Black wire) and battery voltage. See Fig 1 . If test light illuminates, check for poor connection at power mirror switch. If connection is okay, replace power mirror switch. If test light does not illuminate, repair poor connection or open in Black wire between power mirror switch connector terminal "D" and ground, behind left-side kick panel. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
