Remote Keyless Entry Systems: Programming: Transmitter
1999 Chevrolet Chevy Express G1500, Van Cargo, 5.7 RSECTION Transmitter
- Ground terminal No. 4 (Black wire) to terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) of Data Link Connector (DLC) located under lower left side of instrument panel. See Fig 1 . Receiver will respond by locking and unlocking all doors. Press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on first transmitter to be programmed. Receiver will respond by locking/unlocking all doors.
- Press both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on all transmitters to be programmed (up to 4). Receiver will again respond by locking/unlocking all doors. Remove ground jumper from DLC terminals No. 4 and 8. Transmitter operation can be verified by locking and unlocking doors and automatically activating liftgate release.
