Testing Procedure

1999 Chevrolet Chevy Express G1500, Van Cargo, 5.7 RSECTION Testing Procedure
  1. If the VTD Diagnostic System Check was performed, go to the next step. If not, go to DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK - ANTI-THEFT (DOMESTIC)  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Replace the Passlock™ module. See ANTI-THEFT MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the repair is complete, go to the next step.
  3. Reconnect all previously disconnected connectors and components. Turn the ignition switch ON. Connect the scan tool. Clear the DTCs. Perform one of the following Passlock™ reprogramming procedures: After repair, recheck system. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK - ANTI-THEFT (DOMESTIC)  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
