Installation Procedure

1998 Chevrolet Suburban K2500, 7.4 J, Part TimeSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the Trac Off, Low Trac, Trunk Ajar, Low Washer, or Chg Oil Soon lamp:
    • Place the blue colored lamp into the opening in the driver information center (DIC).
    • Use pliers to rotate the lamp clockwise.

  2. Install the door ajar lamp:
    • Place the black door ajar lamp into the opening in the DIC.
    • Use a flat-bladed tool to rotate the door ajar lamp clockwise.

  3. Install the illumination lamp:
    • Place the red colored illumination lamp into the opening in the DIC.
    • Use pliers to rotate the illumination lamp clockwise.
  4. Install the DIC. Refer to DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER MODULE REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
