- Ambient Light Sensor

The scan tool displays 2.1-4.3 volts. The voltage level varies based upon the amount of light detected by the ambient light sensor. When the sensor detects full bright the scan tool will display 2.1 volts. When low light is detected the scan tool will display 4.3 volts.
- Backlight Dimming

The scan tool displays 0-35%. The illumination percentage varies, based upon the dimming switch information. When the dimming switch is rotated to full bright, the illumination percentage will increase. When the dimming switch is rotated to full dim, the illumination will decrease.
- Dimming Switch

The scan tool displays 0-4.3 volts. The voltage level varies based upon the I/P dimming switch information. When the switch is rotated to bright the voltage will increase. When the switch is rotated to dim, the voltage will decrease. When the switch is placed in the OFF position, the voltage will be 0.
- High Beam Input

The scan tool displays 0-12 volts. The voltage level varies based upon the headlamp switch information. When the switch is placed to HIGH position, the voltage will display 12 volts. When the switch is placed in the OFF position, the voltage will be 0.
