1998 Chevrolet Suburban K2500, 7.4 J, Part TimeSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fan blade to the fan clutch.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the fan blade mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  3. Install the fan clutch assembly using the J 46406  .

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fan clutch to 56 N.m (40 lb ft).

  4. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD REPLACEMENT  .
