Installation Procedure

1998 Chevrolet Suburban K2500, 7.4 J, Part TimeSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cruise control release switch electrical connector.
  2. With the electrical connector index notch at the 10 o'clock position, install the cruise control release switch to the retainer.

    Important:Β  Do NOT move or push the brake pedal.

  3. Slide the switch into the retainer until the plunger is fully depressed into the barrel.

  4. Rotate the cruise control release switch clockwise until the travel stop has been reached (approximately 60 degrees). The electrical connector index notch should now be at the 12 o'clock position.
  5. Ensure that the cruise control system operates properly.
  6. Install the left side instrument panel insulator.

    Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT -- LEFT .
