Upper Intake Manifold Assembly: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove canister purge solenoid. Disconnect necessary harness connectors. Disconnect necessary vacuum hoses. Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEFΒ under FUEL SYSTEM.
- Disconnect control cables from throttle lever cam and bracket. Disconnect fuel supply and return lines. Disconnect power brake and crankcase ventilation valve vacuum hoses at upper manifold and valve cover. Remove distributor cap and position aside (if necessary). Remove upper intake manifold retaining nuts. Remove upper intake manifold.
