1998 Chevrolet Suburban K2500, 7.4 J, Part TimeSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm ReplacementΒ .
  2. Secure the lower control arm in a vice.
  3. Drill or grind off the ball stud rivet heads.

  4. Use a hammer and a drift punch in order to remove the rivets.

  5. Remove the ball stud from the lower control arm.
