- Inspect the air intake system and crankcase for air leaks.
- Check for proper calibration of the speedometer. Connect the Signal Generator and Instrument Panel Tester (J 33431-C) to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) electrical connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. With the tester ON, monitor the speedometer.
