Operation of vehicle systems depends on power mode. There is a fail-safe plan in place should PMM fail to send a power mode message. Fail-safe plan covers modules using exclusively serial data control of power mode and modules with discrete IGNITION signal inputs.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
