- If condition of batteries is unknown, replace transmitter batteries with fresh batteries. If transmitter now operates, system is okay, If system still does not operate, go to next step.
- Connect 20-amp fused jumper wire between DLC connector terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) and ground. If all power doors lock and unlock, go to next step. If all power doors do not lock and unlock, go to step 4).
- Leave jumper wire connected. Operate a known-good transmitter by pressing a single button once. Disconnect jumper wire. If known-good transmitter now operates all remote functions, replace inoperative transmitter. Program replacement transmitter. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE . If known-good transmitter does not operate all remote functions, replace remote control door lock receiver. Reprogram transmitters to replacement keyless entry receiver.
- Connect self-powered test light between DLC connector terminal No. 8 (Black/White wire) and ground. If test light comes on, repair short to ground in Black/White wire and reprogram keyless entry receiver. If test light does not come on, go to next step.
- Connect test light between keyless entry receiver connector terminal "E" (Orange wire) and ground. If test light comes on, replace keyless entry receiver. Reprogram keyless entry receiver. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE . If test light does not come on, repair open in Orange wire. Reprogram keyless entry receiver.
