1997 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Cargo, 6.5 FSECTION Both Mirrors Do Not Move Manually

NOTE: After repair or component replacement is completed, perform appropriate MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTINGΒ  to verify system is functioning properly.
  1. Perform POWER MIRROR MEMORY SYSTEM CHECKΒ  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Using test light, backprobe between outside mirror switch terminal No. 8 (Orange wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 9).
  3. Using test light, backprobe between outside mirror switch terminals No. 8 (Orange wire) and No. 9 (Black wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 10).
  4. Using test light, backprobe between outside mirror switch terminals No. 8 (Orange wire) and No. 7 (Yellow wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 11).
  5. Using test light, backprobe between outside mirror switch terminals No. 8 (Orange wire) and No. 15 (Light Blue wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go tostep 11).
  6. Using test light, backprobe between outside mirror switch terminals No. 8 (Orange wire) and memory seat/mirror module Blue, 32-pin connector C1, terminal C6 (Yellow wire). See Fig 1 . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 12).
  7. Using test light, backprobe between outside mirror switch terminals No. 8 (Orange wire) and memory seat/mirror module connector C1, terminal D6 (Light Blue wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 13).
  8. Replace memory seat/mirror module. See MEMORY SEAT/MIRROR MODULEΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  9. Repair open in Orange wire between outside mirror switch and right rear junction block.
  10. Repair open in Black wire between outside mirror switch and ground.
  11. Replace outside mirror switch.
  12. Repair open in Yellow wire between outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module connector C1.
  13. Repair open in Light Blue wire between outside mirror switch and memory seat/mirror module connector C1.
