Left Mirror Does Not Operate In Left/Right, Up/Down Or Any Position
1997 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Cargo, 6.5 FSECTION Left Mirror Does Not Operate In Left/Right, Up/Down Or Any Position

- Disconnect left power mirror connector. Disconnect power mirror switch connector. Using DVOM, check resistance between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "B" (White wire) and left power mirror harness connector terminal "B" (White wire). If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, repair open in White wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror.
- Check resistance between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "M" (Light Blue wire) and left power mirror harness connector terminal "K" (Light Blue wire). If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, repair open in Light Blue wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror.
- Check resistance between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "D" (Light Green wire) and left power mirror harness connector terminal "C" (Light Green wire). If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, repair open in Light Green wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror.
- Check resistance between power mirror switch harness connector terminal "S" (Yellow wire) and left power mirror harness connector terminal "D" (Yellow wire). If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is not less than one ohm, repair open in Yellow wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror.
- Reconnect power mirror switch connector. Using mirror select switch, select left mirror. Connect test light between left power mirror harness connector terminal "C" (Light Green wire) and ground. Move power mirror switch to DOWN position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, check power mirror switch connector terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCHΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Connect test light between left power mirror harness connector terminal "B" (White wire) and ground. Move power mirror switch to RIGHT position. If test light illuminates, check left power mirror connector terminal contact, if okay replace left power mirror. See POWER MIRROR ASSEMBLYΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If test light does not illuminate, check power mirror switch connector terminal contact, if okay replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCHΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
