Vehicle speed sensor buffer receives and conditions AC voltage to a rate of 4000 pulses per mile. This signal is then sent to speedometer and PCM. These components convert number of pulses per mile to pulses per second to determine speed of vehicle. Buffer is located on left side of instrument panel, near parking brake.
