Control module constantly monitors linear EGR valve pintle position sensor to ensure valve is responding properly to commands from control module.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Checks for an EGR valve sticking partially open or an incorrect pintle position sensor feedback signal.
- Ensures control module is capable of controlling EGR pintle position and is reading pintle position feedback signal properly.
- Checks linear EGR high and low circuits.
