Spring Shackle: Installation

NOTE:
Numbers in parenthesis refer to components or procedures identified in illustrations.
- Install the shackle (18) to the vehicle. See Figure.
- Install the shackle to spring bolt (14), washers (13) and nut (12); Do NOT tighten yet. See Figure.
- Install the shackle to rear bracket bolt (17), nut (15) and washers (16); Do NOT tighten yet. See Figure.
- Adjust the spring height to obtain a measurement of 182 mm (7 11/64 in.) between the top of the surface and the axle jounce pad and the bottom surface of the frame jounce bracket. See Figure.
- Tighten front (20) and rear (12) spring nuts and shackle nut (15). See Figure and TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower the vehicle.
