DTC 87, Red Brake Warning Light Circuit Open: Notes
This test verifies EBCM has continuity to Red BRAKE warning light. This will only occur if an ABS fault is detected that may degrade base brake performance. Because other systems also use this circuit, a short to ground cannot be detected. ABS warning light will flash to indicate malfunction, but ABS will not be disabled.

When to See a Mechanic
