Disabling SIR

- Position front wheels straight-ahead. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove AIR BAG fuse from instrument panel fuse block. Remove lower trim panel located below steering column.
- Disconnect Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip and both Yellow 2-pin SIR connectors located at base of steering column. With SIR system disabled and ignition on, AIR BAG light will illuminate; this is normal and does not indicate an SIR malfunction.
