Windows Do Not Operate

1996 Chevrolet Corvette Base, 2D Coupe, 5.7 PSECTION Windows Do Not Operate
  1. Disconnect left window switch connector. Connect test light between ground and Yellow wire terminal at left window switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If test light is on, go to step 3). If test light is off, repair open or short to ground in Yellow wire between left window switch and power window 30-amp circuit breaker.
  2. Ensure circuit breaker is okay. If wire and circuit breaker are okay, check ignition fuses No. 6 and No. 7 (60-amp), located in underhood fuse block, and wiring to Delayed Accessory Bus (DAB) relay (5-pin Black connector) for open circuit. Relay is located behind left side of instrument panel, near steering column.
  3. Connect test light between Yellow wire and Black wire terminals at left window switch connector. If test light is on, replace left window switch. If test light is off, check for poor ground connection. If ground connection is okay, repair open in Black wire between left window switch and ground connection.
