1996 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger Extended, 4.3 WSECTION Left/Right Power Seat Does Not Tilt Up Or Down In Front
  1. Disconnect inoperative power seat switch connector. Connect self-powered test light between inoperative power seat front tilt motor harness terminal "E" (Dark Green wire) and ground. If test light glows, go to next step. If test light does not glow, check for open in Dark Green pigtail wire between inoperative power seat switch and power seat front tilt motor. If circuit is okay, replace power seat switch.
  2. Connect unpowered test light between inoperative power seat front tilt motor harness terminal "E" (Dark Green wire) and ground. Press power seat front tilt switch lever to up position. If test light glows, go to next step. If test light does not glow, replace power seat switch.
  3. Connect self-powered test light between inoperative power seat front tilt motor harness terminal "F" (Dark Blue wire) and ground. If test light glows, go to next step. If test light does not glow, check for open in Dark Blue pigtail wire between inoperative power seat switch and power seat front tilt motor. If circuit is okay, replace power seat switch.
  4. Connect unpowered test light between inoperative power seat front tilt motor harness terminal "F" (Dark Blue wire) and ground. Press power seat front tilt switch lever to down position. If test light glows, check for open in pigtail wires between inoperative power seat switch and power seat front tilt motor. If circuits are okay, replace power seat front tilt motor. If test light does not glow, replace power seat switch.
