- Turn ignition on. Unplug connector from parking brake switch, located on parking brake bracket. If warning light stays on, go to next step. If warning light goes out, check parking brake switch adjustment. If adjustment does not correct problem, replace parking brake switch.
- Unplug connector from brake pressure warning switch, located near master cylinder. If warning light stays on, go to next step. If warning light goes out, check brake system for leaks or loss of fluid.
- Check for short to ground in Black wire between brake pressure warning switch, or between park brake switch and instrument cluster. Repair as necessary.
