Washer Motor Inoperative
1995 Chevrolet Chevy Van G30, Van Cargo Extended, 6.5 YSECTION Washer Motor Inoperative
- If wipers are also inoperative, ensure WIPER fuse is not blown and White wire is not open between WIPER fuse and wiper washer switch connector. Disconnect washer pump motor connector. Pump motor is located on washer fluid reservoir in engine compartment. Place ignition switch in ACC position and wiper switch in WASH position. Connect test light between ground and Pink wire of wiper pump motor harness connector. See Figure . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step 3).
- Connect test light between Black and Pink wires of washer pump motor connector. If test light comes on with wiper switch in WASH position, replace washer pump motor. If test light does not come on with wiper switch in WASH position, repair open in Black wire between washer pump motor connector and ground.
- Connect test light between ground and Gray wire of wiper motor/module harness connector. Place wiper switch in WASH position. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, locate and repair open in Gray wire between wiper motor/module and wiper switch connector. If wire is not open, replace wiper switch.
- Connect test light between ground and Pink wire of wiper motor/module connector. If test light does not come on, repair/replace wiper motor/module. If test light comes on, locate and repair open in Pink wire between wiper motor/module connector and wiper switch connector.
